In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Allan Brooks Nature Centre is committed to joining global efforts to help slow the spread of the virus. We want to do our part in helping parents and educators follow social-distancing guidelines by providing engaging educational content and resources. Our education team is busy working behind the scenes to create resources for you to access and discover fun ways to stay connected to nature during this time.
We will be posting educational materials on our website for parents and children to do at home, whether it is an activity (nature scavenger hunt), science experiment (make your own water cycle) or craft. These will include lesson plans with explanations, instructions, and materials needed as well as worksheets. We will continue to update this page as resources are made available.
Follow us on social media as we will be posting regularly to provide more ways for you to interact and engage with us. We will be posting educational nature videos, nature tips and facts, as well as fun activities to keep you entertained at home.
