The Caetani Centre is a vibrant multi-disciplinary arts, culture and heritage site, and we are doing our part to responsibly help to flatten the curve by moving our programs and events online during this challenging time of COVID-19.
The Caetani heritage site focusses on the legacy of Vernon’s own artist, teacher and mentor, Sveva Caetani. The shift from our normal offerings of live concerts, readings, youth and adult programming and an international Artist and Writer in Residence program to online will be a new direction for the Centre.
We will be delivering entertaining and thought-provoking online programming and events, and posting links as we go. Don’t miss an event! Please subscribe to our eNewsletter on our website and check back here often for links from #OKcreate.
Here is a sampling of possibilities:
Sveva Caetani Heritage Project: Share your written or spoken memories of the Caetani family, upload photos and videos about Sveva and the mysterious Caetani family
Caetani Minutes: snippets of little known information about Caetani presented by staff and summer students
Travel to Italy without leaving the comfort of your own home to visit the many Caetani historical sites – the Gardens of Ninfa, Sermoneta, Fogliano, Rome…
Caetani Reads Online Event – join local authors who have been inspired by the Caetani story for online readings
Join local and visiting artists for online interviews and studio visits
Online Programs for Educators, parents and youths
We would like to sincerely thank the Regional District of the North Okanagan and the GVMA for their support for this important website and facilitating our ability to connect with the community during this unprecedented time of COVID-19.
